I am passionate about creating resources for teachers in special education, specifically for behavior classrooms and nonverbal students.
As someone who is a special needs mom and also worked in special education, I understand firsthand the challenges and rewards of working with students who have unique needs and learning styles. That’s why I’m dedicated to creating materials that support inclusion, are engaging, effective and easy to use.
My resources are designed to help teachers support their students’ academic and social-emotional development.

Whether you’re a seasoned special education teacher or new to the field, I hope you’ll find something here that will help you in your work!~
Inclusion
reach out and invite students in self contained classrooms into your classroom. While it shouldn’t, it sometimes feels like overstepping onto your ‘turf’ inviting students into your room, let them know they’re welcome.
If your nervous and have questions ASK THE DANG QUESTIONS. Ask if you can come spend lunch or recess with the student who will be with your class so you know them before they come into your room and they know you.
Invite the student to come visit your room when the rest of the class is at recess. Allow the student to familiarize themselves with the room without distractions.
If you’re nervous and unsure what to say when students ask questions (they will) chat with the special education teacher, parents and school counselor on how to answer and handle it. I’ve seen counselors and parents teach and answer questions for a class prior to the student coming so the class knew how to respond (for things like stimming etc) and it went so so well. That student was so loved by his class and is thriving.
